Lincoln Speech Commemoration: February 20, 2016
February 20, 2016: The Lincoln Society in Peekskill and The Lincoln Depot Museum, held our annual Reenactment and parade at the Lincoln Exedra and Lincoln Depot Museum. After a wreath laying ceremony at the Exedra Monument, about 100 people joined the parade to the Lincoln Depot Museum where Michael Macedonia re-created Lincoln's adress to the people of Peekskill on February 19, 1861. Refreshments and a program by author and historian, Dr. Charles Strozier followed in the Museum. The festive crowd then joined together for a Peeksil Pub Crawl, AKS Drincoln with Lincoln to four Peekskill pubs and restaurant near the Museum. Join us on April 9 for our Annual Dinner!
